How can you tell by height and weight which sizes are needed for Aline small or medium or large etc?

Assalaamu Alaikum sisters. I’m having a very difficult time learning to do the tier garments. It seems like I’m adding too many ruffles and it seems heavy . Any suggestions or tutorials?

Walakium as salam, I know how to pretty much make everything but i have not yet to try ruffles yet. I'm more of hands on when it comes to stuff like that and my mom also sew. but i do know ruffles are more heavier than the other garments without it. i usually wear a 54 but a garment with ruffles i can wear a 52 because of its heaviness.

Cotton/wovens?
As salaam alaikum,
I've been looking through the gallery photos, and I've noticed that most of the garments are made of knit/stretch fabric.
Has anyone made a garment from cotton? Or even linen?
If so, please post a photo.

Wa Alaykum Salaam Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuh. The method that is taught is specifically for knit/stretch fabric. You can make garments from other fabrics. I made one from satin and plan on making other In Shaa Allaah. However the measurements and fabrics cutting method is slightly different
